Not at all! Track days are beginner-friendly and open to all levels. A full safety briefing is provided before your first session to help you get comfortable.
Yes – all drivers are required to hold a valid Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) Speed Licence. To obtain one, you can either purchase a Day Licence (valid for a single event) or a General Speed Licence (annual).
Please see the FAQ below for full instructions on how to apply.
All Speed Licences are issued directly by the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA). You must arrange your licence before attending the event – you will not be able to sign on without it.
Steps to get a Speed Licence:
1. Visit the AASA website:
• Day Licence (1-Event)(https://www.aasa.com.au/day-licences)
• General Speed Licence (Annual)(https://www.aasa.com.au/general-speed-licence)
2. Choose your licence type:
• Day Licence – ideal for first-timers or those only attending occasionally.
• General Speed Licence – recommended if you plan on racing multiple times in a year.
3. Complete the online form and payment.
• The process is fully online.
• Once payment is complete, AASA will email your licence details directly to you.
4. Keep your licence details handy.
• You’ll receive a licence email that includes your licence number and expiry date.
• Bring this with you on event day – showing it on your phone is fine.
5. On the day of the event:
• At sign-on, you’ll need to fill out a form with your personal details and your licence details (licence number and expiry date).
• Without this information, you will not be permitted to race.
You can book directly on this website. Spaces are limited, and pre-payment is required to secure your place.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for check-in and the mandatory safety briefing.
